There is a line of thought that Russia, albeit, the russians of the former USSR are the scythians of legend.  If we take all the passages regarding MAgog and Gog in some instances, we can make certain discoveries by being as PRECISE as we can with the scriptures.Hesiod, ''the father of Greek didactic poetry,'' identified Magog with the Scythians and southern Russia in the 7th century B.C.
